Information about the application process
Steps of the application process
The certification process starts with the registration of the application, followed by an application review.
1.1 Application
Prior to the start of the certification process, European Legislation requires that an agreement is signed. Therefore, information about the organisation and the product(s) and the organisation is needed. This information can be provided to Kiwa Dare B.V., trade name Kiwa Dare, by means of a form.
Based on the information, the agreement and a quotation for the application review is made. Subsequently, Kiwa Dare will request additional documentation that must be submitted prior to the application review. All documentation and correspondence must be delivered in English or Dutch. If your documentation is (partly) written in another language, please contact us.
1.2 Application review
Based on the information provided in the application form and the required additional documentation, an application review will be performed.
During the application review, which will take approximately a day, the following activities will be carried out:
• Assessment of the completeness and eventual shortcomings of the provided documentation
• Determine if the assessment route and the scope are appropriate for the products involved
• Determine whether Kiwa Dare is able to perform the assessment
• Drawing up the audit programs, test plans and the technical documentation sampling plans
• Determining the time required for the conformity assessment procedure
• Determining the need to engage external experts in the conformity assessment
In case, the application review indicates that Kiwa Dare cannot perform the conformity assessment, the application review will be terminated and no fee will be charged.
In case that Kiwa Dare has to outsource activities, this will always be discussed and agreed upon upfront. The application review is an integral and mandatory part of the conformity assessment.
1.3 Quotation and assignment
Based on the application review, a quotation will be drawn up for the conformity assessment procedure, and the client will be notified of any missing documentation that needs to be delivered prior to the start of the procedure.
A formal written, duly signed purchase order must be received by Kiwa Dare before the conformity assessment can commence.
